Space aftermath and sketches

So,
S.P.A.C.E. was real nice. I didn't end up making my Amelia 3 preview, just didn't have enough time, so sorry about that. But, other than that I was well prepared for the con and ended up having a great time.
It ended up being a 13 hour drive to Columbus, and on the way back the same amount of time, but all in the rain.
The con itself was not that well attended, but there was still brisk business. One thing that struck me was how nice everyone was. I met some real cool cartoonists, saw some real sweet books, made a couple cool trades. I met Guy Davis, who I've been a big fan of for a long time. I traded with Mark Bloodworth, who's got some real cool comics
After the con a friend of mine who lives in Columbus told us about Studio 35. It's a cool old theater that was having a...get this... beer tasting, local Columbus beers and screening of Pee Wee's Big Adventure! Yeah, so I had a good time.

So, here's some more sketchbook and marker drawings, a couple of these I did at Space.

Sketchbook samples

Some new sketchbook drawings.
I was at Staples buying cover paper and saw a Crayola marker set for 2 bucks. So I've been having fun with that.

Christopher Lee as Dracula in markers

doodles and stuff. melting guy among other things.

I'm going to run out of red and green first.

I've also been in a very Nightmare On Elm Street kind of mood.
I'm actually pretty excited about the remake coming out soon.

Freddy with his skin pulled off
freddy-2

freddy-3
bathtub scene
I drew those while watching the original and colored them later.

So that's that story.
I'm getting prepared for S.P.A.C.E. this week. Should be fun.

S.P.A.C.E. in a week

Hey folks,

As you may know I'm headed to Columbus, Ohio, next weekend for the comic con, S.P.A.C.E.

I'm not done with Amelia part 3 yet, but I'm close enough to put together a con-exclusive preview of it.
Here's the cover,

For the finished part 3 this image will probably be used as the interior front cover.

MoCCa 2010

So, I won't be at MoCCa this year. Sorry all my friends and fans who planned to go just for me :-(

BUT, I will have work in an anthology there. Werwolf 2, a.k.a. Werewolf!!

Cover by Penina Gal. I've seen most of the comics that are going to be in this, and they are awesome!
New work by Penina, Josh Rosen, Nick Patten, Laura Terry, Betsey Swardlick, Mark Bilokur, Matt Aucoin, David Yoder, Jose-Luis Olivares, I think that's it. This is what I showed the samples for HERE

I'm real proud of my work for this story, I think my best inked page ever is in this comic!
